Memoirs of a Geisha
Today I spent a time with my friend. We went to the movie theater and watched 'Memoirs of a Geisha.' Since it was a new movie, I was looking forward to watching it. Actually I enjoyed it. As to the movie, it is about Geisha in Japan and has a love story. Ken Watanabe is one of main characters. Some famous Japanese actors and actresses appear in the movie. I was very surprised that they could speak English well. It was news to me. Looks like they are better than I. I have to make more efforts! Anyways, since 'Memoirs of a Geisha' is a good movie, I recommend watching it. ASAP!

when you say:
Today I spent a time with my friend
You should say "Today I spent some time with my friend" not "a time with my friend". I know, tricky, but "a time" doesn't make sense. :)
Also, when you said:
'Memoirs of a Geisha.'
make sure you put the period outside the quotes, like this:
'Memoirs of a Geisha'.
