My Memorial Day
Today is my memorial day! I came to the United States just one year ago! Though one year has passed since I came here, I feel it is very fast. I have had lots of fun until now thanks to my awesome friends! I really appreciate that. When I came here a year ago, I was very nervous and uneasy because I was worried whether I was able to get used to American life and make good American friends. Actually, I could not understand what native English speakers said since it was very natural and fast. However, I have no such worries now. I am really enjoying my life in the United States.
Also, I need to talk about English. Learning foreign languages is tough as I have said many times. Sometimes I feel that I do not have a good talent to learn English because my English still sucks, but I have been making effort about English, so I hope I will be able to speak English fluently by the time I go back to Japan. In addition, it is very interesting that I can learn not only English but also American culture by hanging out with American friends. It has really influenced me; for example, I have started to express my own opinion without hesitation. American people tend to express their own opinion no matter how other people think. On the other hand, Japanese people are less likely to do that. I think that the American way is respectful; therefore, I would like to do so.
Living in the United States is very neat so far, and I would like to enjoy it more than now!
