After taking classes, I had karate practice today. I am really enjoying karate right now since new comers are joining us and I have set my goal that I will get a brown belt by the time I leave here. My instructor told me that I did not know if you could make it, but I am trying for it! I will make lots of efforts, so we'll see.

The Demo of Karate
Today our karate club held the demo of karate. Yeah, I had been practicing for the demo these days. In the demo, I performed one of forms in our style. Though I was really nervous, I think I did it well. Also, my friends came there and made me nervous! I am kidding, and I really appreciate their coming. After finishing the demo, I started to like karate more than before somehow. Definitely I will keep doing in Japan!

Classes
Classes have started! Yeah, so far so good! All of the classes that I am taking are interesting.
Especially, Chinese class is very entertaining. I am feeling that learning Chinese is harder than learning English in speaking because there are 4 tones in Chinese when people say words. Mostly one Chinese word has several tones that have different meanings. Clearly, speaking is very hard! There are American students in class, and they also say that it is very confusing. Speaking of reading, I am really familiar with Kanji (Chinese characters) because we use them in Japanese, so I can guess and see the meaning of sentences. It is very helpful for me, so I appreciate my native language. Anyways, I have to struggle with Chinese! I will do my best!

Classes Tomorrow
Today Chi Alpha, the Christian group that I belong to, had an event in K-State to welcome new students. Many students came there, so it was entertaining. Also, this event was very memorable for me since I met the people who belong to Chi Alpha for the first time in the same event last year. In my opinion, I think that my English has grown up campared to what it was last year.
Speaking of K-State, classes are supposed to start tomorrow. I am taking Chinese, Geography, Mass Communication, and Family Studies. I guess that they are going to be exciting! Sadly, this semester is my last one, so I will definitely enjoy it!

Texas
When I took a streetcar in Taxas, I heard lots of Spanish. Surprisingly, I was able to see Spanish almost everywhere. Yeah, Texas is near Mexico, and legal and illegal immigrants from Mexico live there. I did not expect there was that much spanish in Texas, so I was really impressed.

About my trip!
I would like to tell about my trip today! It is getting cooler here! That's pretty neat!
Anyway, Dallas is a very historical place because of JFK as I have mentioned before, and I was able to learn about the tragedy that JFK was shot. Specifically, I did not know that Oswald was shot by a man on TV. Thus, though it is said that Oswald shot JFK, I cannot help doubting it. What is interesting is, the whole investigations are supposed to give away in 2039! I am really looking forward to it. Also, there is a streetcar in Dallas, so it is very convenient. Luckily, I happened to see a circus there. I just wanted to compare the American and Japanese one, and I would say they are the same! It was fun, though.
I also visited Fort Worth, which has old American atmosphere such as cowboys and is located near Dallas ( It takes 40 minutes from Dallas)! Yeah, when I visited there, fortunately I was able to see the cows walking on the street! It was awesome! If I had not been America, I could not have seen such sight.
As to Houston, NASA space center was really cool, but it was smaller than I expected. There were a lot of desplayed things concerning space. Also, when I saw a real space shuttle, I was amazed! It was stunning! I would not get on it... it is too hard to handle it. Anywho, I think I have had nice experience there. Amazingly, there is a streetcar in Houston as well! It is very nice for the people that do not have a car. Thanks, Houston!
To say the least, this trip was cool. I was able to see some Japanese and American people and one Italian guy. Yeah, he cooked pasta for me! Thanks, man!
Let me thank every single person that I saw during my trip!

An American wedding
Yestrerday my friends, Dave and Becca, got married officially by their wedding. Congratulations! It was my first time to attend an American wedding, so I have realized the difference between American and Japanese weddings. The most noticeable point was, the American ones were very American...It is hard to explain, but I think that the American ones are more entertaining and flexible than Japanese. There are some strict rules in a traditional Japanese wedding, I would be nervous and would not be able to laugh! Anyhow, attending the American wedding has been the memorable experience for me!
The trip for Dallas and Houston
Hi there! I came back from Dallas the day before yesterday by Greyhound. As you see, I could not have sleep on a bus... But I really enjoyed visiting Dallas and Houston. I will be more specific later!

My Short Trip
How's it going? After finishing class, I am on vacation now until the fall semester begins. So I am leaving for Dallas tonight. I was thinking that I wanted to go there someday. Since the tragedy that someone shot John F. Kennedy occured there, Dallas is a very histrical place. That is why I would like to visit there. Also, I am going to visit Houston to see NASA space center. My guidebook says that there are real parts of a space shuttle displayed, so I am excited. Anyhow, I will have a safe trip!
