Halloween

Today is Halloween! I saw some students dressing up in class... That's American!
There is the popular buritto restaurant "Chipotle" in Manhattan, and they offered free burittos today when customers dressed up like burittos. So, we just wraped ourselves in foil and got the free ones. It was a good deal. I really appreciate their generosity!

Day Light Saving Time

It ended yesterday, so I got an extra hour! Right now there is a fifteen-hour time difference between Japan and here.
I have an exam tomorrow, and I hope it will go well.

Shooting Guns

Yes! I shot guns again! Last Saturday Chi Alpha's event "Bon Fire" took place. We just hung out around a bonfire, and it was fun. What was most exciting is shooting guns! My friend, Wes, let me shoot guns before the bonfire started. Since I had shot guns before, I knew how it was exciting. So, I was really looking forward to that.
When I shot guns, I was like, "Oh, yeah!" I was able to relieve stress! I wish I could do it in Japan...Never mind.
Anyways, thank you for letting me shoot guns again before I leave here. I have got a good experience. Thank you.

Homecoming!

This week is K-State Homecoming week! What is Homecoming? "Homecoming is an annual tradition of the United States of America. Peoples, towns, high schools and colleges come together, usually in late September or October, to welcome back former residents and alumni" (the website WIKIPEDIA). Interestingly, each university has own Homecoming week. Then, Shawn told me that mainly people watched a football game this week. That is why Shawn invited me to tomorrow's K-State football game. I am really looking forward to watching the game again!
Also, I am taking the karate test tomorrow morning. I will do my best as I can, so I guess I will pass it. Wish me luck!

Today's Chinese Quiz

Today I had a Chinese quiz. It was really straightforward, so it went well. Since next Tuesday I have an exam, I need to study for that this weekend. Exams have been coming up one after another. It drives me nuts!

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch

What the heck! Do you know what I put the above? That is the town's name in northern Wales and means that "The Church of St. Mary in the hollow of white hazel near the rapid whirlpool by the church of St. Tysulio of the red cave." Clearly, it is the longest one in the world!

In Two Months

The time is really coming, coming, coming. I will be in Japan in two months. That is amazing. I will definitely be feeling strange when I realize that I will no longer live here.
I came here around a year and half ago and was really excited at starting living in the US. At the same time, I was worried about the new life. Time has passed very quickly though it seems like a long time. I think that I have been very lucky because I have met many good friends and spent good time here. Without my friends, I could not have been what I am. Also, I have been trying to enjoy my American life as much as possible to get and learn American culture and English. Thanks to that, right now I am very comfortable with listening, speaking is okay though. Anyways, I think that I have got more important things than just learning English. What I have got in the US has really influenced me. Oh, America! Thanks, dude!
So, I will enjoy the rest of my life here not to regret though I am busy with exams!
Peace Out

Karate

Right now I am trying to get a brown belt before I leave here. To realize it, I need to take a test once a month. It must be very hard because I have to learn new stuff and polish them, so clearly I do not have much time. But, I am making efforts for it and I hope that I will make it eventually. Wish me luck!

My Country

Last night I listened to a Japanese song. It was very nostalgic and reminded me about Japan. I miss Japan, but the time I will leave here is really coming. Though I feel like going back to Japan, I do not want to say good-by to Kansas and my Kansas friends. Sooner or later I will not be bale to live here. How pity it is! But I love Japan as well. The more I spend time here, the more I realize that I really love my country. I love all about Japan.

Pocky

My friend, Tyler, likes Pocky. Pocky is a very popular Japanese snack food, and we can buy it in Wal-Mart! One time he went there, he bought it for me. I did not know that there was pocky there, so I was very glad about it. There are various kinds of Pocky in korean market. Clearly, Pocky is a snack food! I am so proud of it!

Exams

I had two exams last week, so I had a busy week. This month mid-term exams have been coming up. Since I have one more next week, I have to study for it. I will cram anyways!

My Chinese Teacher

My Chinese teacher always tells me that my hand-writing is very good though I think that she knows that I am Japanese. I have been really familiar with Chinese characters since I was born. So, I want to say, "You are not supposed to be suprised at my hand-writing, my teacher." Anyways, I have Chinese mid-term exam tomorrow, and I hope that I will beat it up!

"First down!"

Yeah! K-State won! It was a really really really exciting game because they won in a last-minute turnabout! I was really excited. Thank Shwan for teaching me all of football rules. At first, I was struggling to make sure of the rules, I was cheering K-State with shouting in the end! I love K-State!

Is America a Beautiful Country!?

Do you know how to write America in Chinese? In Chinese, America is expressed by the words "a beautiful country." I do not know why that is. America is not beautiful! I am joking. I would like to know the reason.

Tomorrow Shawn's family and I are going to watch K-State football game! Shawn told me that it would be sort of a big game, so I am looking forward to it. I hope that the weather will be nice, and K-State will beat up Oklahoma state university!

Fall Break

Today, to be exact, yeasterday was a holiday for students. It was called fall break. I had to get some assignments done, so today was not a break for me. Guess what? Shawn told me that he would take to K-State football game this Saturday. Since I have never seen the football game, I am looking forward to it! Anyways, have a good week!
